I hail from Germany and have been living with my husband for over four decades in a quaint little town close to the North Sea. Starting at 11 or 12, I taught myself on my mom’s old Singer machine—a manual model with only a straight stitch. Over the years, my passion for sewing has grown stronger, especially since embracing the concept of slow fashion. Sewing my own clothes lets me showcase my personal style far better than ready-to-wear pieces ever could.
